A first approach to scientific visualization using Unreal Houdini Engine to recreate a game ready functional Prototaxites example.

Prototaxites were a species of fungi that towered the world 400 millions years ago, you can learn more here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-G64DagHuOg This model is simple enough to do an exercise and a full game ready featured Digital Asset, including LOD's, LOD's materials, different types of collisions and parameters to tweak.

A first step towards more complex projects, so I wanted to pin down the basics of a game ready fully tweakable asset to move onto such projects. I learned a lot and the project is free to explore. I will try to update this any time I fix some issues or any that I'm made aware of in the future.

Known issues:

- LOD's material only work with material override.

- Collision Debug doesn't show LOD's or Profile debug.

- Inside Unreal there is no way (that I know of) to bake the relevant settings instead of the debug modes when they are activated.

- The main goals of this package are both learning and education. Feel free to use the content of this package to learn, explore, reference and teach others if you find the content good enough for such purposes.

--  You can use these files to start your own project, reference or convert them in any way as long as that transformation is meaningful enough to be possible to consider them a new thing, in which case you can share, redistribute or sell that new product. This is a thin line to judge so we, as creator and client, rely on a common sense understanding and appreciation of the job done for this package.

-- In the same manner any transformation of project assets can be use for personal and commercial projects, as long as the main goal of said project is not the selling of the project assets themselves or a 3D asset that relies on it. In other words: the files in the project can be included in any build of games, VR simulation, animation or similar, but they can't be sell by their own in any meaningful way.

- Digital products are non-refundable.
